As The Bell Tolls
Remembering Those Who Lost Their Lives on 9/11

As the bell tolls ringing throughout the land, the world and history touching hearts still today let us remember those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.
We must remember those who lost their lives, their families and loved ones.

On 9/11/2001 nearly 3,000 people died in the attack time, including 2,977 victims, including three hundred seventy two foreign nationals who perished in the attacks, the immediate deaths included 246 victims on the four planes, 2,606 in New York City in the World Trade Center and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon and about 292 people were killed at street level. All the deaths were civilians except 55 military personnel killed at the Pentagon. Some immediate deaths were not added to the list until years later.

There was a total of 411 Emergency workers who died.

NY City Fire Dept., FD NY lost 340 firefighters, a Chaplain and 2 Paramedics.

NY city Police Department lost 23 Officers.

The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 Officers.

8 Emergency Medical Techs were killed.

2 people were added to the toll after dying from health condition from exposure to dust in collapse.

After NY, New Jersey lost the most state citizens, with the City of Hoboken sustaining the most deaths.

More than 90 Countries lost citizens in the attacks.
Many more have died since due to injuries and illnesses connected with 9/11

Weeks later after the attacks the death toll was estimated to be over 6,000 more than twice the  number of deaths eventually confirmed.

Health effects extended to students, office workers of Lower Manhattan and nearby China Town approximately 18,000 have developed illnesses.

We must remember what terrorism brings to a people and a nation. Evil has no face, it comes to steal, kill and destroy. We must not forget how precious life is and we must cherish life and our freedom in our nation as a people, for we are truly weaved in the fiber of life itself, one life touches another weaved in time with God's love. We must trust in God.
